The Block Firm’s class action lawsuit, Painter, et al. v. Strides Pharma, Inc., has reached a preliminary settlement in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (Case No. 7:25-cv-4189-NSR). The lawsuit alleges that Strides manufactured testosterone gel containing the carcinogen benzene, and seeks economic damages on behalf of patients who purchased Strides testosterone gel. As part of the settlement, Strides has agreed to refund patients depending on the dates and amounts of purchase. Strides is also reformulating the product to avoid the use of benzene.
Who may be included: If you purchased Strides testosterone gel between June 1, 2022, and July 31, 2025, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund.
What’s next: The Court has granted preliminary approval of the settlement and certified the settlement class. A Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for November 19, 2026.
